# Quick start

> Prepare access, verify configuration, navigate JADE-ELS, and create a controlled first shipment.

Use this checklist with a trained administrator or implementation lead before entering live transactions.

  <Step title="Obtain your account">Receive your organization-specific web address, individual user name, temporary password, office/branch, and assigned role.</Step>
  <Step title="Sign in and secure the account">Change the initial password when required. Never share credentials.</Step>
  <Step title="Verify access">Confirm the expected menus and actions. Report missing or excessive access before processing live data.</Step>
  <Step title="Confirm master data">Check customers/vendors, carriers, ports/airports/routes, currencies/rates, charge codes, taxes, and account mappings required for your work.</Step>
  <Step title="Create a controlled first order">Use a training or approved test case. Select the freight module, create the order, enter parties/cargo/route/dates, and save.</Step>
  <Step title="Confirm the job reference">Record the generated reference and use it in later documents and charges.</Step>
  <Step title="Add required documents and charges">Prepare the appropriate transport document and enter buying/selling charges using approved data.</Step>
  <Step title="Complete approvals and finance">Follow the configured approval, bill/invoice, payment/receipt, and posting workflow.</Step>
  <Step title="Verify reporting">Confirm the job, open balances, journals, and profitability appear correctly for authorized users.</Step>

## First-day checklist

* [ ] I can sign in with my own account.
* [ ] My office/branch and role are correct.
* [ ] I see only the modules required for my work.
* [ ] I know who approves my transaction types.
* [ ] Required master data is present and active.
* [ ] I understand Save, approval, posting, cancellation, and closing.
* [ ] I know the internal support and security escalation channels.

<Warning>Do not create live records using guessed master data or another user's account. Resolve access and configuration first.</Warning>
